Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Zeferous products, including GEOptimizer (the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for legitimate ecommerce operations on your own Shopify store. You will not:
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service or any portion of it.
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to access data belonging to other merchants, or circumvent rate limits or security controls.
- Use the Service to publish misleading product information or manipulate AI search results in violation of any AI platform’s terms of service.
2. Subscriptions and payment
GEOptimizer is billed monthly via the Shopify Billing API. Subscription tiers are described on the GEOptimizer page. Charges are authorized through your Shopify Admin and processed by Shopify; we never receive your payment card details.
Your subscription auto-renews each billing cycle until you cancel. Pricing is subject to change with at least 30 days’ notice; existing subscriptions retain their pricing through the current billing cycle.
3. Trial period
New installs include a 7-day free trial. No charge during the trial; cancel anytime before it ends to avoid the first recurring charge. Trial features and limits match the Starter tier unless otherwise specified.
4. Refund policy
If you cancel within 14 days of any monthly charge, we’ll issue a pro-rated refund for unused days. After 14 days, your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle and is not refundable. To request a refund, email support@zeferous.com.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, content, and trademarks, is owned by Zeferous and protected by copyright and trademark law. You retain all rights to your store data and any content you generate through the Service. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service per these terms.
JSON-LD, descriptions, and additional product properties generated by the Service for your products are yours to keep even after cancellation; they remain in your Shopify metafields unless you delete them.
6. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% uptime on the Starter, Growth, and Scale tiers, and 99.9% with SLA on Enterprise. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance. The Service depends on third-party APIs (Shopify, OpenRouter, Perplexity, Supabase); outages of those services may affect us.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” AI-generated content (descriptions, query patterns, personas) should be reviewed before publishing. Citation tracking results reflect real Perplexity responses but cannot guarantee future visibility, ranking, or revenue. We make no warranty about results, traffic, or sales attributable to the Service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zeferous’s total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data.
9. Termination
You may cancel anytime by uninstalling GEOptimizer from your Shopify Admin. We may suspend or terminate the Service for violations of these terms with reasonable notice (immediately for fraud, security threats, or platform terms violations).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Zeferous’s registered jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in that jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters.
11. Changes to these terms
We’ll post material changes on this page and notify active merchants by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
